editor ->align: column=int, index=[int]

Insert/delete spaces and tab characters such that the character at index [editor<-caret] will have editor<-indentation column. When layout characters are deleted, at least a single space remains.

Useful for realising automatic indentation and alignment of comments in syntax driven editors.
